Jamie DeSpirito, DVM — Chief of Staff
Dr. Jamie DeSpirito is Chief of Staff at Millburn Veterinary Hospital & Laser Surgery Center. She has lived in New Jersey for most of her life, having grown up in Ringwood and now residing in Rockaway. Dr. DeSpirito completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont and then went on to earn a DVM degree at the University of Wisconsin.
Prior to joining our team, Dr. DeSpirito worked at Antietam Valley Animal Hospital in Reading, PA and Animal Care Center in Flanders, NJ. She has special interests in anesthesia and pain management, pet nutrition, and alternative veterinary medicine.
When she's not working, Dr. DeSpirito enjoys woodworking, home remodeling, baking, yoga, swimming and other water sports! Most of all, she loves spending time with her three rescue dogs — Stewie (a Pointer/Jack Russell mix), Bertram (a Puggle/Boston Terrier mix), and Griffin (a Lab/German Shepherd mix).
Scott Turowsky, DVM
Dr. Scott Turowsky grew up on Long Island and received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from Hamilton College in upstate New York in 2006. He worked in numerous small animal hospital on Long Island and went on to receive a DVM degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 2013.
Prior to joining our team, Dr. Turowsky practiced in Hudson County. His professional interests include internal medicine, ophthalmology and imaging.
Dr. Turowsky currently lives in Chatham with his puggle, Greta; his two cats, Rylie and Luna; and his human, Lauren. He is very excited to be part of Millburn Veterinary Hospital & Laser Surgery Center and is looking forward to serving the community.
Jessica Aulisio, DVM
Dr. Aulisio is from Bridgewater, New Jersey. She graduated cum laude from Rutgers University’s Cook College and went on to Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in California. Her interest in veterinary medicine began in high school while working at a local veterinary hospital and horse farm. In veterinary school, she developed an interest in acupuncture and completed the Chi Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine’s Acupuncture certification course in Florida.
After graduation, Dr. Aulisio joined an equine practice in Maryland with an emphasis on reproduction. Upon returning to New Jersey, she joined a small animal practice in Morris County until joining the Millburn Veterinary Hospital team in April 2017. Her animal companions include two yorkies, Sandy and Rosie, and an appaloosa mare named Piggy. She spends her free time riding horses with her human companion Jim, reading, cooking, or training for bicycle races.
